Sparwood 2018

Ok, kicking of 2018 with a new post and maybe this year I will keep things going.   No excuses, other than beer, that I do not keep this blog up to date.   Played two rounds of disc golf at Parwood DGC in Sparwood, BC with Murray Friesen , John Hachey, Wayne Lippa, Jay Yanke and Kirk Duelien. Awesome weather, great course, and little pain in the arm. I think I am healed and ready to kick off the season. Three birdies in the first round for a +5 and 1 birdie in the second round for another +5. Best score of the day goes to Jay with a -2 in the first round. I find throwing up […]

Random Round in Baker

A warm sunny Saturday morning and I am out running errands.  I happen to be in the neighborhood of Baker Park so I decide to play a solo round.  Unfortunately I realized my disc golf bag was on my motorbike and not in my Santa Fe.   No worries, I have back up discs.   Not too busy at the park but busy enough for me to start on Hole 10.   I played a slightly different configuration which is more or less a figure 8.   10,11,12,13,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,14,15,16,17,18. Lethbridge

What an awesome weekend.  First it is Friday in Baker and then today in Lethbridge for a round with Jay, John, Wayne, Murray and myself.  The format of the game is Flip.  A red,blue and white disc are spun and the the odd landing of head and tails determines the hole we played from.   It was Jay and Wayne putting on a clinic today.
