April 30, 2016 – Nicholas Sheran
Perfect spring morning for 91 Players to show up at 9:30 am in Lethbridge, AB for the Spring Run Off -Tier PDGA event. This is the first event in the Alberta Tour and what a way to start the Tour Off!
First Round for me and the 8 other Advance Master’s have us throwing from the Blue’s. My first Round begins on Hole 12 with Leon Goodstriker, Robby Phol, Chris Teeple. A couple of hours later I finish the Round with a solid 70 (par 62). This puts me on the top card for the afternoon in third place.
Second Round is from the Whites and we begin on Hole 11. This time it is Jeff in first, Scott Jardine in second, myself in third with par 61 (par 62) and Greg Gomoa in fourth. The weather is holding pretty steady about 15 degree’s and NO WIND which is unusual for Lethbridge. We finish in the same order as we started.
May 1st, 2016 – Nicholas Sheran
Third Round finds us out on the course at 10:00 am and kicking off from the Whites on Hole 10. Yesterday I played solid. Today not so much. 6 missed puts in the first 9 holes and just not holding it together. Hole 2 I sank a 40 foot putt and finally settled down to finish the round with a 66. The damage was done and Greg shot a fantastic 59 to move into 3rd place. Well done Greg! Scott really showed up for this round and opened with 5 straight birdies and 7 birdies and two pars in the first 9 holes. Jeff played very steady and held on for the win despite Scott’s amazing day.
